Richard Dawkins

Richard Dawkins grew up in, and was born in, Nairobi, Kenya. He enjoyed studying animals and their behaviors. He went to college in England, and started thinking that evolution "gave much better answers to life's puzzles than religion". He was an assistant professor of zoology at the University of California until 1969. He wrote many articles and books about evolution. He has won may awards, such as a Royal Society of Literature award. He is now 77, with one child.
