Introducing A New Author: Mac, with "The Compromise of Faith"
Hey, I'm Mac and I'm TCK Times newest writer. One of the most important things in my faith is making sure that I am living for God to the fullest. I try to make sure every aspect of my life on God, and that's the major theme I'll be focusing on in my writing. Here's my first article on The Compromise of Faith:
One of, if not the largest issues plaguing Christians today is lukewarm Christianity. For those who aren't familiar with this term, “lukewarm Christianity” is being half-in, half-out with your faith. Many people who believe in God compromise their faith so that they can live the way they want to but still have all the benefits of Christianity.

Faith without works is dead. That’s what Jesus clearly says in the book of James. It’s not enough for us to believe in God, we have to actively live out our faith. I believe that with true faith, our hearts are aligned with God’s heart, and doing his will is going to naturally follow with our faith.
Matthew 7:21-23 says, “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’” The thought of Jesus saying, “I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers,” should terrify us. This verse not only warns us but it instructs us as well. “Only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven” will enter the kingdom of heaven.
I would like to encourage you to examine your heart and your relationship with Christ. Are you living the way God has called us to live? Are there any idols in your life that you are putting before God? Are you living with others the way Christ lived with others? This is no small matter. This is a matter of eternity, so spend some time with God today, rededicate your life to him, and seek him all the more.
