My Top 5 Favorite Book Series

Updated: Jun 9, 2021

Hey y'all! Today I will be sharing a few of my favorite book series. I hope y'all read some of these!

By the way, there is not really any particular order of how much I like these series.

1. Keeper of the Lost Cities, by Shannon Messenger

This is one of the best series I have ever read! If you are into fantasy fiction novels then this is the series you should read! And I promise if you are anything like me, you won't be able to put this down for hours! Here is a summary I found: Twelve-year-old Sophie Foster is an outcast in her community. Being extremely smart and clever, her peers often label her as a know-it-all and exclude her from finding her place. Sophie also has a secret, she can read minds and she doesn't know why.

2. The Series of Unfortunate Events, by Lemony Snicket

This is a very great series. Although it is a little sad, It is still very interesting and it can be good to read something a little different than you usually do. I found this great summary: This series follows the adventures of three siblings called the Baudelaire orphans. Snicket explains that very few positive things happen to the children. ... The siblings discover that Count Olaf intends to get his hands on the enormous Baudelaire fortune, which Violet is to inherit when she reaches 18 years of age.

3. The Wingfeather Saga, by Andrew Peterson

This book series is really good! Andrew Peterson is a great author! In this series there are four books. This series is about three siblings. It is an adventure story. I really enjoyed this book series. Here is a summary of the series: The Wingfeather Saga is a series of four fantasy novels plus a "Creaturepedia" written by singer/songwriter Andrew Peterson, consisting of On the Edge of the Dark Sea of Darkness, North! Or Be Eaten, The Monster in the Hollows, and The Warden and the Wolf King. The series chronicles the adventures and transformations of a family called Igiby (grandfather Podo, mother Nia, and three children, Janner, Tink, and Leeli), as they discover secrets of their family history, flee the evil Fangs of Dang who are occupying the country of Skree where the Igibys were raised, seek their place in the world, and make a stand against the mysterious ruler behind the Fangs, Gnag the Nameless. In "North! Or be eaten" Janner and his family must flee to the Ice Prairies to escape the vicious Fangs of Dang. But first, they have to escape Glipwood Forest, the thieving Stranders of the East Bend, and the Fork Factory, where children get taken by the Black Carriage to make swords and weapons (and forks) for the Fangs."The Monster in the Hollows" and "The Warden and the Wolf King" continue the family's story as they travel to the Green Hollows and, finally, confront Gnag the Nameless.

4. Harry Potter, by J.K. Rowling

Harry Potter is a pretty famous series. I do think it is a little bit for older kids. Maybe ages 11 and up or so. It just depends on your family though. Here is the summary: Adaptation of the first of J.K. Rowling's popular children's novels about Harry Potter, a boy who learns on his eleventh birthday that he is the orphaned son of two powerful wizards and possesses unique magical powers of his own. He is summoned from his life as an unwanted child to become a student at Hogwarts, an English boarding school for wizards. There, he meets several friends who become his closest allies and help him discover the truth about his parents' mysterious deaths.

5. The Green Ember Series, by S.D. Smith

This is a great series! I think it is super fun. It is a Fantasy Fiction book series. Here is a summary: Heather and Picket are extraordinary rabbits with ordinary lives until calamitous events overtake them, spilling them into a cauldron of misadventures. They discover that their own story is bound up in the tumult threatening to overwhelm the wider world. Kings fall and kingdoms totter.

Those are the main series I recommend. I hope you read some of these! Have a great day.
