We are so thankful for all of the submissions to The TCK Times Photography Contest! This was the second year of the contest, and it will definitely happen in April/May of next year. Our judge chose their top 3 favorites as well as an honorable mention. We would like to encourage people to submit next year, even if they didn't win this year!
In third place is Safety First, submitted by Jyoti, age 11! Our judge liked this photo because it had a humorous perspective of this situation and was different from many of the other photos submitted.
The second place photo is Alone, taken by Asha, age 13. The judge loved how the tone and color scheme of the photo create a mood full of melancholy and wistfulness for other people.
The winning photo for this year's photography contest is Trapped, which was submitted by 12-year-old Jordyn. Our judge loved how Jordyn used lines to show a locked-in/contained perspective of the world she is living in.
We would like to give an honorable mention to Lonely Times, which was submitted by 15-year-old Sarala. Our judge loved how the black and white evoked the sadness of the person and how the close perspective enhances the melancholy effect of the photo.
Again, thank you to everyone who submitted photos this year! Our judge enjoyed looking at all of the photos. We would love to see your submissions next year!
