Hey everybody! Today I am sharing another story from my life...
My dad tries to save as much money on our family as we can, considering there is seven of us (except at the time of this story we only had six people.) Sometimes that means taking a six hour jeep ride (and that's if it made it on time) in the hills on the muddy roads, instead of a one hour flight.
One day we were traveling to India. We took a jeep that was supposed to take six hours, but it was delayed one hour because the jeep ran into another vehicle. The police had to come and look at it and sort it out, so we rode a horse cart over the Indian border, which then took us to the hotel. Once we finally arrived at the hotel, we had ten hours before our train left. Let me tell you, the hotel was NASTY! There was chicken bones on the bathroom floor, and my mom told us not to touch ANYTHING. We left the hotel after three hours even though we had planned on staying six hours. We went to the train station, which was MUCH cleaner than the hotel (even though there was rats crawling on the ground at the station.) We waited two more hours at the station and even though the train was not moving yet, the conductor was kind enough to let us on two hours early, because it was already parked there. Once it was time for the train to start, we fell asleep, forgetting all the events of the day, at least for as long as the night lasted.
