Hey, Indiana here! In today's post I'm going to be sharing my favorite movies! If you didn't know I LOVE movies. I guess watching tv is one of my hobbies haha, but these are great movies that I totally recommend!
Disclaimer: Not all of these movies are entirely appropriate for everyone, so please check with your parents and research before deciding to watch them.
- The Maze Runner Series
The Maze Runner series follows Thomas, Teresa, and the Gladers as they fight to survive in a devastated world governed by the mysterious Wicked. These movies are packed with adventure and so many plot twists!
- The Hunger Games Series
The Hunger Games is an annual event in which one boy and one girl aged 12–18 from each of the twelve districts surrounding the Capitol are selected by lottery to compete in a televised battle royale to the death. These are SUCH good movies they are definitely in my top three favorite movies!
- High School Musical 2
It's summer break and the kids of East High are out for some fun in the sun. Unfortunately, they are all broke and must get jobs in order to be able to afford to enjoy themselves. Troy thinks his problem is solved when he gets a job at Sharpay's family resort, but doesn't realise she has an ulterior motive for hiring him. Luckily, some of his fellow Wildcats have jobs there too. Now all the High School Musical movies are amazing but number two is by far my favorite.
- Napoleon Dynamite
A listless and alienated teenager decides to help his new friend win the class presidency in their small western high school, while he must deal with his bizarre family life back home. This movie has no plot whatsoever but it's hilarious mixed with a little bit of stupidity haha.
- To All The Boys I've Loved Before
A teenage girl's secret love letters are exposed and wreak havoc on her love life. Lara Jean Covey writes letters to all of her past loves, the letters are meant for her eyes only. Until one day when all the love letters are sent out to her previous loves. This movie is super cute and heartwarming, I really liked this movie so I totally recommend.
- Brain on Fire
Susannah Cahalan, an up-and-coming journalist at the New York Post becomes plagued by voices in her head and seizures. As weeks progress and Susannah quickly moves deeper into insanity, her behaviors shift from violence to catatonia. After a series of tantrums, misdiagnoses, and a lengthy hospital stay, a doctor's last-minute intervention enables him to give her a diagnosis and a chance to rebuild her life. This movie is also in my top three it's so amazing, I absolutely love Chloe Grace Moretz. She is an amazing actress!!
- The Darkest Minds
When teens mysteriously develop powerful new abilities, they are declared a threat by the government and detained. One of the most powerful young people, Ruby, escapes from her camp and joins a group of runaways who are seeking a safe haven. Betrayed by the adults in power, this newfound family soon realizes that running is not enough -- they must use their collective powers to wage a resistance and take back their future. Okay, I'm running out of a "top three" haha. I love this movie so much, and I can't wait for a sequel!
- Pixels
When aliens intercept video feeds of classic arcade games and misinterpret them as a declaration of war, they attack Earth, using the games as models. Knowing that he must employ a similar strategy, President Will Cooper (Kevin James) recruits his childhood pal, former video-game champ and home-theater installer Sam Brenner (Adam Sandler), to lead a team of old-school arcade players and a military specialist (Michelle Monaghan) in an all-out battle to save the planet. This is such a funny movie, I mean any movie with Adam Sandler is hilarious am I right?
- Ready Player One
In 2045 the planet is on the brink of chaos and collapse, but people find salvation in the OASIS: an expansive virtual reality universe created by eccentric James Halliday. When Halliday dies, he promises his immense fortune to the first person to discover a digital Easter egg that's hidden somewhere in the OASIS. When young Wade Watts joins the contest, he finds himself becoming an unlikely hero in a reality-bending treasure hunt through a fantastical world of mystery, discovery and danger. This is a pretty cool movie, it's kinda cool to see what virtual reality can really do. But also kinda freaky what virtual reality can do haha.
- Escape Room
Six adventurous strangers travel to a mysterious building to experience the escape room -- a game where players compete to solve a series of puzzles to win $10,000. What starts out as seemingly innocent fun soon turns into a living nightmare as the four men and two women discover each room is an elaborate trap that's part of a sadistic game of life or death.
- Isn't It Romantic
Natalie is a New York architect who works hard to get noticed at her job, but is more likely to deliver coffee and bagels than design the city's next skyscraper. Things go from bad to weird when she gets knocked unconscious during a subway mugging and magically wakes up to find herself in an alternate universe. Always cynical about love, Natalie's worst nightmare soon comes true when she suddenly discovers that she's playing the leading lady in a real-life romantic comedy. This movie is so funny! I love it.
- Feel the Beat
After failing to find success on Broadway, April returns to her hometown and is recruited to train a misfit group of young dancers. This movie is so cute, I really love it!
- Instant Family
When Pete and Ellie decide to start a family, they stumble into the world of foster care adoption. They hope to take in one small child, but when they meet three siblings, including a rebellious 15-year-old girl, they find themselves speeding from zero to three kids overnight. Now, Pete and Ellie must try to learn the ropes of instant parenthood in the hope of becoming a family. This movie is super funny but it also shows what foster care is like. I love this movie!
