Admiring God’s Creation in the Busy

Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, “Never lose an opportunity of seeing anything beautiful, for beauty is God’s handwriting.” From the very beginning of time, God was. He created all that is in nature and it was beautiful. “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” (Genesis 1:1).

How long ago did God create the world and everything in it? Some Christians believe it was millions of years ago, while others believe it was thousands, but all agree God is the Creator behind the precise details. All of His creation is beautiful even thousands of years later. It has never lost its beauty, and that will be true forever.

God mirrors His divine, majestic beauty in His creation. He has poured his love into His creation, yet all of this is missed because of one’s busy way of living. One simply says, “There is no time to stop and smell the flowers,” or, “Watching the sunset consumes too much time.”

People believe they do not have time to close their eyes and reflect on all the Lord has beautifully gifted them with in the world. He did not create these wonderful joys for one to brush away quickly without a thought. One is to ponder the work of His holiness. It all shows how great and powerful He is that He created such beauty.

One needs to slow down and breathe in all that is around them. Stop and realize the little things seen every day which God is present in; the birds which soar high in the sky above; the delicate butterflies that are so beautifully designed; the wind which is not visible to the naked eye, yet has so much strength and is so obviously there. Notice the beauty all around and praise the One who made it all for who He is. Remember to look at it all even through the busyness of life.
