Hey everyone! A couple of weeks ago, I got to have the chance to listen to some graduating seniors from my youth group speak. They gave advice on what they learned throughout high school and about things they would have done differently. These seniors were not TCKs, so this isn't advice just for TCKs, but for everyone (it definitely applies to TCKs though)! These are just my notes from what they said, and I'm glad I had the opportunity to listen to what they had to say about their experiences.
- Who you surround yourself with is important!
"Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise,
but the companion of fools will suffer harm."
Proverbs 13:20
- Small habits and baby steps make a BIG difference.
- Choose love ❤️
- Thankful for closed doors, detours, and roadblocks.
- Reactions cause stress.
- Kindness is worth SO much more than being right.
- Compliment others!
- "He has shown you, O mortal, what is good.
And what does the Lord require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy
and to walk humbly with your God."
Micah 6:8
Thanks for this advice, love these words of wisdom!
