Hey everyone! Today I'm sharing one of my favorite cookie recipes. These cookies are fairly easy to make and don't require any ridiculously hard to find ingredients. The original recipe came from Delish. Enjoy!
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup of butter (227g)
- 1 cup of granulated sugar
- 1 cup of light brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 crushed Oreo cookies (I usually use 1.5-2 packets)
DIRECTIONS
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone mats.
In a large bowl combine the butter and sugars and beat with a handheld or stand mixer until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time and beat until evenly combined. *sometimes I need another egg yolk or more egg white, it depends on how big the eggs are* Stir in vanilla.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the baking soda, flour, and salt. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir until just combined.
Take your Oreos and put them inside a plastic zip-lock bag and smash with a spoon until most crumbs remain, but a few bigger pieces.
Put the Oreos into the dough and stir until the Oreo crumbs and pieces are evenly distributed.
Using a cookie scoop or a spoon and your hands, put mounds of cookie dough 2 inches apart on the cookie sheet. Bake for at least 10-12 minutes (they may need more) or until the edges begin to turn golden.
Let the cookies cool and then enjoy!
I hope that you enjoy these cookies! They are a crowd-pleaser and are absolutely delicious.
