An obvious fact about being a TCK is that people leave. It doesn’t matter if that person changed your life or saved you. It doesn’t matter if you know that when they leave it’s going to crush you. God has a better plan. And He will take people from your life whether you like it or not. You can be mad at God, but it won't change anything. Believe me, I know. It is so much easier to just accept the fact that people come, people go. You'll meet new people, those people will come and go. Don’t fight it. Just accept it. Don’t quit, either. Don’t stop making friends just because they are gonna leave. I know, it’s painful. But it is so much better to have friends for a short amount of time than have no friends and fall into a dark pit. Yes, the moment those friends leave it'll be painful. We have to accept it and move on. Don't quit. It’s not worth it. The pain of loss is nothing compared to the pain of being alone. So don’t quit. People come, people go. You will meet new people. I know. You don’t want new people. You want that person that is leaving. That left. It's okay to be sad, but don’t stick with choosing to be alone. Sometimes God provides friends are only for a season, and it's still hard when they leave.
