Summertime!

Hey guys!

So summer is now here and that means summer break is on its way. Whether you have already finished school or have a little while longer to go, I have some ideas of things to do over the summer. So I hope you enjoy and please comment below what you love to do over the summer break.

** rules may vary in different countries due to COVID-19 so follow the rules and stay safe **

1. Make a fun summer snack- Summer is always a fun time to experiment with refreshing drinks and snacks to have in the hot sun. Here are a few that you could try making- Mint lemonade (https://pickledplum.com/mint-lemonade-recipe-low-sugar/ ), Watermelon slushie (https://frommybowl.com/watermelon-slushie-recipe/), frozen yogurt bark (https://diethood.com/frozen-yogurt-bark-berries/) and any sort of salad.

2. Have a picnic with friends- Arrange with your friends to go to a park or green space and have a picnic. Make some food and get some drinks and spend the day lounging in the grass and making memories with your besties!

3. Go thrift shopping- Go out with your friends to some thrift/second-hand stores and try on some fun or ugly clothing items. Snap some funny and memorable pics with each other!

4. Go swimming- In the summer it is always really nice to cool off in the water. So, how about spending some time swimming or relaxing? You could go to a river, the ocean, a lake or just a local swimming pool. How about taking someone with you? Maybe family or friends?

5. Start a book club- I have always wanted to do this but I have never known enough book readers. Starting a book club doesn't have to be really fancy; it can just be a group of people that decide to read the same book and then share what you thought about it. If you can't meet in person for some reason (eg. COVID or in different countries) then you could arrange to call once a week to see how everything is going and what you all think of the book. You could also make a group chat where you can share ideas about the book and discuss favorite characters and what-not.

6. Go on a hike- Choose a nice day to go walking in God's beautiful creation. You can do this with other people or just on your own as a time to reflect and enjoy the peace.

7. Do some summer cleaning- Tidy up your bedroom to make it feel clean and ready for the summer. You can sort through your clothes as well and donate (or sell) the ones you don't wear to charity. This way your wardrobe is less full for all of your summer shopping.

That's all I have for you today!

I hope that you have a wonderful summer and that you have loads of fun wherever you are!

God bless,

Christina
