Can you believe it? In many places around the world, kids and teens of all ages are making the final push of the school year. While the prospect of summer is enticing, that means that many people are swamped with final papers, projects, and exams. It's really easy to get caught up in school and grades and think that that's all that matters. From someone who's been through a lot of school years, I want to encourage you and remind you that grades do not define you and that there is so much more to life than just school. Here are some Bible verses to keep in mind as you make the final push toward summer!
Philippians 4:6 (NIV)
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Matthew 6:33a (ESV)
But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness.
Psalm 145:18 (ESV)
The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.
Colossians 3:23 (NIV)
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.
Isaiah 40:31 (NIV)
But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
Matthew 11:28 (NIV)
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
