Hey everyone! Today we're sharing a TCK Times 2020 recap! We'll be summarizing everything that happened with The TCK Times this year. Let's get into it!
January: In January, Aliana started a monthly TCK interview post which she continued through every other month this year. She also started her "Have you ever experienced" series, where she writes stories about things that have happened in her life. The TCK Times had its 2nd anniversary on January 28th.
February: One of the most popular posts of the year, Heather's TCK Interview with Jason and Caleb was published on February 1st. Indiana had a post about her top 5 quotes, and Kasey had a post about light-themed quotes.
March: We shared the top 10 posts on The TCK Times (at the time) in March. At the end of the month, we introduced two new members to our writing team, Claire and Jason.
April: Notable posts in April include the first Day in A Life of a TCK post, Jason and Claire's first posts, and an FAQ post. We also announced the 2020 Photography Contest in April, and Aliana posted the first of many "Holidays in _____".
May: In May, we announced the winner of the photography contest, 12-year-old Jordyn, as well as the 2nd and 3rd place winners and an honorable mention. May also brought an old writer, Mabel, back to The TCK Times to fill in for Jason, who was unable to write at the time. Two of the most popular posts from the year were posted this month, Heather's Sports + Biblical Encouragement and the first COVID-19 TCK Interview.
June: June brought the start of the summer articles, such as Summer Reading List and Get Outside this Summer. A double interview with graduating TCKs was published at the end of the month and is one of our favorite articles. We also had a guest post by Avery about losing friends.
July: In July we had lots of fun articles such as Indiana's summer bucket list, Kasey's playlist, and Aliana's Have you ever Experienced #4.
August: At the beginning of August, Jason officially left our writing team for personal reasons. We had a guest post from Naomi about family-friendly movies. Throughout August we shared about A TCK Wonder, a new TCK podcast, and A TCK Diary, a new TCK blog.
September: We had 3 interviews published in September, with JK, Jordyn, and Deb. This month's guest post was by Salem, who wrote about things to do outside. One of our writers, Claire started her hiatus from writing in September, and we can't wait until she returns to write more!
October: In October, we updated The TCK Times website, making new changes to the blog and adding an Our Friends page. October's guest post was about planners, written by Emily. Indiana wrote a special Halloween article with movies, costume ideas, and lots more.
November: In November, we had appreciation posts for Nayeli and Heather, and Heather also shared her teenage bucket list. On Thanksgiving, we had a combined post from the 4 active writers about everything they're thankful for. November's guest post was about change and was written by Alexis.
December: Kasey started off the month with a post of 10 facts about herself. Christina and Gareth were both interviewed and Aliana shared her testimony. Our Christmas posts include Rose's guest post about Christmas in 2020, Heather's Christmas playlist, and the true meaning of Christmas.
